Redesign Your Chairs is not an upholstery shop, it's a designer's workshop!

    

We dive into fabrics, trims, colors, paints and finishes as we work together to select how you want to restore new life to your existing set of chairs, just one chair, or to memorialize a treasured family piece from the attic. I do not work on large stuffed chairs, sofas, cars, boats, or large cushions. Instead, I enjoy the creative process of working one-on-one, with just one client at a time. 

     

Your instructor Joanne has vast experience in transforming furniture with paints, stains, finishes and fabrics.

In her shops in Baltimore, MD and Jekyll Island, GA she reupholstered dining chairs, sold painted furniture, mineral paints, and taught classes. She learned chair upholstery and fabric mixology from Chair Whimsy, Sailrite, and Kim’s Upholstery, and has completed Amy Howard’s Old World Finishing Course.
